About
Annie Winter is a New York City-based artist originally from Boston, Massachusetts. Her multidisciplinary practice explores how past and present inform personhood and existence. She is interested in temporality, memory, nostalgia, childhood, and femininity -- and how these themes inform her identity. Annie mainly works in the 4D realm of video, sound, and installation, incorporating tactile, handmade objects. She is interested in investigating the juxtaposition between new media and ancient craft methods, and how past and present are mirrored in her making processes and thematic storytelling. Her work has been exhibited at Arts Commons Kellner Performing Arts Center, 23 East Gallery, Kestrels, and All Street Gallery.

She is pursuing a BFA at Parsons School of Design in Fine Arts with a minor in Art and Design History. She has worked in gallery and museum spaces and hopes to pursue a career in the arts while concurrently furthering her practice..
